Northern Bali · 08 — 14 October 2026
Held by the Flow
A 7-day retreat in northern Bali — somatic yoga, meditation, sharing circles, Balinese water rituals and island activities for up to 8 souls.
A week to decompose into softness. To let the water teach you viscerally what your mind has been trying to grasp. Connecting to your inner wisdom and intuition in wild nature.
A note
This retreat is for the ones who are used to holding everything together. The ones who know, somewhere beneath the noise, that it is time to soften into their power.
We gather in northern Bali to dissolve old patterns of holding. Through water, stillness, and the gentle witness of a small circle, you are invited to reconnect with your intuition and your deeper knowing.
For one week we are coming together in community to receive nourishment and surrender to the flow of life. Letting go control can feel scary at times — especially when we are finding ourselves in between versions of ourselves or on a new path of life.
The retreat supports you to find safety within, (re-)establishing trust in your soul’s path and the Divine as your North star, celebrating life.

The Retreat · Bali
Let water be your guide.
For seven days we live in a beautiful villa in the lush green hills of Sumberkima. Mornings begin in stillness and gentle yoga practices; the rest of the day unfolds around simple yet profound teachings, community connection, exploring different bodies of water on the island, traditional Balinese rituals and healing.
The week is shaped for those releasing an old version of themselves — gently, without urgency. We hold a circle of no more than eight.

The Week, in Detail
What is offered.
01Daily yoga & meditation
Mornings open with slow, somatic yoga and meditation in the open-air shala. Held by Joanna and a guest teacher, made for sensitive nervous systems. Times of sacred silence support a deeper reconnection with yourself.
02Two vegetarian meals and a fresh snack each day
Breakfast and dinner prepared by an excellent team from local produce, with a fresh snack in between. Vegetarian by default, with attention to any dietary needs you share in advance. Throughout the week we will receive a mix of Western and Indonesian cuisine prepared in the restaurants of our Retreat Village with love and care.
03Ensuite room in a shared villa, northern Bali
Shared twin and double bedrooms in a quiet villa in the hills of Sumberkima, each room with its own ensuite bathroom. Private rooms in a separate house are available on request.
04Sharing & connection circles
A small, held space to speak and to listen. No pressure to share, no performance. Guiding questions to allow for deeper reflections and connection.
05Live music, sound & bodywork
Evenings of live guitar and song with Tibito to soften the heart, and optional Tibetan massage and meditation sessions with Tita to support what is moving through you.
06Waterfall excursion
A day at Aling Aling waterfall in the North — where the river drops over volcanic stone. We explore different qualities of water, from softness and nourishment to power and pure life force. If your spirit is adventurous you can try out being 'Held by the Flow' in a quite literal sense.
07Balinese water purification ceremony
A water purification and energy healing ritual by a local Balinese priest couple. Traditional offerings are being made and explained, prayers spoken and what no longer belongs can be gently released. A re-alignment with your natural blueprint.
08Ocean time, coral reforestation & snorkeling with dolphins
An afternoon on the north coast with a local conservation project — snorkelling, and planting baby corals onto reef structures in an underwater art gallery — restoring an ecosystem in the ocean. Getting up early in the morning to observe — and potentially snorkel with — pods of dolphins in a gentle, non-intrusive way.
09Airport transfers on retreat days
Private transfer from Denpasar airport on arrival day, and back on departure day. About four hours each way, in air-conditioned comfort.
Is this for you?
This retreat is for you
- 01
You are often the one everyone leans on, but rarely the one being supported.
- 02
You have learned to trust your mind, yet long to trust life again.
- 03
Water, ceremony, and the spiritual heart of Bali are calling you.
- 04
You are tired of being strong all the time.
- 05
You no longer want another escape, but depth and real change.
- 06
You are navigating a transition in your work, relationships, purpose, or identity.
- 07
You are ready to soften, listen, and let yourself be guided.
It may not be for you if…
It may not be for you if you are in acute psychological, emotional or physical crisis, as a retreat is not a substitute for therapy or medical care. It is also not for you if you are looking for a high-intensity training, certification, or holiday.
A Day, Sketched
One day of the week.
A loose shape, not a schedule. Everything is invitation. The island sets the real pace.

- 07:30
Quiet waking
Tea on the veranda. Birds, the fresh air of the morning, silence, no phones.
- 08:00
(Somatic) Yoga in the shala
A mindfully led yoga practice in one of the shalas. Guided by Joanna and team.
- 09:30
Breakfast
Fresh fruit, warm grains, eggs if you like them. Long table, easy talk.
- 11:00
Teachings, Balinese ritual, excursions, circles
Some days we receive teachings, go to the waterfall, the ocean or the local village. Other days are more spacious — for napping, journalling, swimming, hiking or simply enjoying the joy of being.
- 13:30
A fresh snack
Cut fruit, coconut, something baked. Eaten where you land.
- 16:30
Self time, excursions, circles
Some afternoons we gather to share. Other afternoons are spacious for 'me time'.
- 18:30
Group Dinner
A vegetarian meal cooked from the garden and the market.
- 20:00
Meditation & closing
Intentionally sitting together for a short time to close the day, sometimes with sound, sometimes in silence. Then bed when the body asks.
The House
A villa in the hills.
Open architecture, wood and stone, sunrise views to the ocean and mountains. Shared double rooms with ensuite bathrooms, or a private adjacent room on request. The villa is part of a Retreat Village with two local restaurants, a Spa, saunas and cold plunge.

Your Host
Joanna
Joanna has felt a deep connection with Bali since first coming here over a decade ago. The last two years she was fortunate to call Bali her home, fascinated by the local culture of devotion and prayer. The island has supported her to connect more with the feminine energy inside of her, held by the lush green and abundance of 'Mama Bali'. She has been teaching yoga since 2017, with a focus on somatic yoga since 2025, and weaves in energetic healing and other intuitive modalities to support what is moving through the circle. She has been organising retreats since 2023 in Tenerife, Canary Islands and Djerba, Tunisia, and is looking forward to welcoming you to this untouched, precious piece of land to connect deeper to yourself.

The Team
Gertrud & Tibor
Holistic wellbeing guides
Gertrud (Tita) and Tibito travel as Nomad Lightworkers, devoted to aligning body, mind, and soul by guiding people inward — into presence, self-reflection, and deep awareness. Their work is an invitation to live more consciously, weaving sacred touch, sound, movement, and meditation into experiences that soften the heart and reconnect you with your own inner stillness.
Tita guides Aqua Yoga in the pool and offers a Tibetan Massage group workshop — a slow, meditative practice that meets the body where it is. Meditations she weaves through the week make space for what wants to land.
Tibito holds the musical heart of the week — live guitar and song that soften ceremonies, open mornings and close evenings, often carrying the circle into silence.

The Team
Jero San & Jero Rina
Balinese priests
Jero San and Jero Rina are revered Balinese priests rooted deeply in the island's sacred traditions. They serve as living bridges between ancient spirituality and universal wisdom, guiding seekers on transformative journeys of healing and inner harmony through ceremony, prayer, and connection with the elements.
Jero San embodies the sacred lineage of Balinese priesthood, carrying forward ancient rituals that connect the physical and spiritual realms. Alongside him, Jero Rina brings a nurturing, intuitive presence — honoring the feminine divine and the subtle energies that flow within and around us.
Together they conduct a group cleansing ceremony for the circle with water, energy and the elements — weaving in threads from Balinese astrology to gently release what no longer belongs and invite re-alignment with your natural blueprint. Their lineage of devotion is the heart of our ceremonial day.
Voices from the Circle
What stays after.
“I'm feeling more connected with myself again, my truth, my path. It helped me to manifest to open my heart and let everything in: all that is. It helped me to realize that I am loved and understood, and that there are soulmates who share the same path, each one in his individual way.”
“So grateful to experience the creation of a trustful powerful group energy. This location, the daily exercises and ceremonies were spotted so subtle, so humble and loving. Aside from that the facilitators were so open hearted and high frequency vibrating that an amazing field was opened where daily wonders and healing were joyful and nourishing. Thank you so much.”
“Like time stood still and I'm still at the retreat. I somehow detached from something there, let go of a massive burden and experienced a timeline shift. I'm somewhere in between now, in the void, where it's calm.”
Questions
Things you may wonder.
If something is not answered here, please write. We reply to every note.
01Is this retreat right for me?
The retreat is made for people in transition — leaving a job, a relationship, a version of themselves — who are used to holding everything together and would love to viscerally experience a different way of living with more ease and flow in a supportive, nourishing group environment. No yoga experience is needed. If you are looking for a high-intensity or party-style retreat, this is not it. Also the retreat is not for participants in acute psychological, emotional or physical crisis.
02How do I get there?
You can fly into Denpasar (DPS). On the retreat arrival and departure days we arrange a private transfer to and from the villa (about four hours north). If you are arriving earlier in Bali or are leaving later please reach out and we can see if we can support you. Please book flights only after the retreat is confirmed.
03What is included in the contribution?
Six nights in a shared ensuite room, all yoga and meditation, two vegetarian meals and a snack daily, the waterfall and ocean excursions, the Balinese healing ceremony, sharing circles, teachings and airport transfers on retreat days. We will have a WhatsApp group just before the retreat to be able to connect with each other and an integration call after the retreat, to integrate the learnings deeper into your every day life.
04What is not included?
Flights, travel or health insurance, visa-on-arrival fees, additional spa treatments, and any meals or excursions outside the retreat programme.
05Can I have a private room?
A limited number of private rooms are available in a separate building on request, for a supplement. Please mention it when you write and we can share more details.
06What if I have dietary needs?
Meals are vegetarian by default. We can accommodate vegan, gluten-free, most allergies as well as additional meat or fish with notice. Let us know when you book.
07What happens after I pay the deposit?
After registration you will receive a welcome email from the team with further details. The remaining balance is due 60 days before arrival. Two to three weeks before the retreat we open a small WhatsApp group so the circle can begin to meet each other.
08What is the deposit and refund policy?
A €555 deposit reserves your place. The deposit is non-refundable unless the retreat does not take place because the minimum number of 5 participants is not reached — in that case it is returned in full. After confirmation that the retreat is taking place, the remaining balance is due 60 days before arrival. Cancellations less than 60 days before the retreat starts are not refundable, unless the place can be transferred to another participant.
09Will I have phone signal and wifi?
Yes, the villa has wifi. We gently invite you to keep phones away during practice, meals, and circles — but there is no rule.
